Meet the Senior Team
The senior leadership team of Kinross High School are responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the school.
This strong and experienced team bring together a wide variety of skills and attributes that have developed an environment that lives by our school values. We encourage ambition in our staff and pupils, act with integrity and compassion, have a clear understanding of our responsibilities and show resilience by adapting to change.
Jillian Shaw (Headteacher)
Jillian joined the team this session (2025_26) as Headteacher of Kinross High School. She started her career in 2005 as an English teacher and has since held a variety of leadership roles and led a vast and varied remit. Jillian is deeply committed to placing learner voice at the heart of school improvements and is passionate about creating a curriculum and school experience that enables every young person to flourish, build skills and reach their full potential.
Lynne Prentice (Business Manager)
Lynne took on the role of business manager at Kinross High School in 2017. Although this is the first school Lynne has worked in, she has a background in finance, procurement and data analysis. A real spreadsheet geek, Lynne excels at showcasing our data to help decision making and school improvement. She's also very good at counting the pennies!
Jason Bain (Depute Head Teacher)
Jason has been a Depute Headteacher at Kinross High School since 2016. Originally a teacher of Computing, Jason thrives on logical thinking, planning and evaluation. Like a dog that won't let go of it's bone, Jason will break down barriers and overcome hurdles to get the best outcome for all our pupils.
Andrew Baxby (Depute Head Teacher)
Andrew moved from being Principal Teacher of Social Subjects to Depute Headteacher in 2017. Andrew is a real creative thinker. As our curriculum guru, Andrew understands and continues to develop the landscape of skills and qualifications our young people can attain to help them achieve their goals beyond school. Andrew
Stuart MacBeath (Depute Head Teacher)
Stuart joined our school as an experienced depute head teacher. His career in schools began as a Teacher of English. His passion for excellent learning and teaching underpins 'The Kinross Way' and his firm belief in career long professional learning has created an environment where the staff and students do really learn and achieve together.
