Exams
Young people in S4-6 will work towards their qualifications, which range from National 1 to Baccalaureate. These qualifications are delivered through a variety of assessments such as units marked in school, practical work, assignments and exams.
The main exam diet for National 5 to Advanced Higher qualifications will take place in April and May each year. The full details can be found on the Qualifications Scotland website.
To prepare young people for their exams, national 5 prelims will take place in November/December each year with Higher and Advanced Higher assessments taking place in January.
Results Day - 4 August 2026
On Tuesday 4 August 2026, you'll receive your National Qualifications results either:
- By post through your Scottish Qualifications Certificate.
- By text and/or email if you signed up for My Qualifications Scotland before the registration deadline.
